Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat has intensified his consultations ahead of the 2027 governorship elections.
On Monday, Hamzat, who is reportedly the consensus candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, held a strategic meeting with members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), party leaders, and key stakeholders during a visit to elder statesman, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, in Lagos.
Notable GAC members present at the meeting included Mutiu Are, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and Alhaji Bode Oyedele.
The meeting is part of ongoing political consultations and engagements across the state, as discussions surrounding the 2027 governorship election continue to gain traction,
On his X account, Hamzat said: ‘Today, I began consultations with respected members of the Governance Advisory Council.
‘We had honest, thoughtful conversations about the future of Lagos and the kind of leadership it requires.
‘I value the experience and guidance shared. This is about listening, learning and working with others to build a stronger Lagos’.
