Super Falcons turn to WAFCON finalists after Jamaica friendly collapse

The Super Falcons will now take on a qualified team to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in a friendly next month after their training tour to the United Kingdom was called off.

Justine Madugu’s side were scheduled to take on Jamaica in a friendly at the end of this month as part of their preparations for WAFCON 2026.

Jamaica, however, withdrew due to administrative issues.

The Super Falcons will host the AFCON-bound team in a two-legged friendly during the next friendly window of 7 to 14 June.

Nigeria will be aiming to win a record a extending 11th WAFCON title in Morocco in July.

They are drawn in Group C with Malawi, Zambia and Egypt.

The competition will run from 25 July to 16 August.
