The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has expressed its condolences to its member, Mrs. Victoria Ibanga, who is the publisher of NextEdition, on the death of her husband.
According to a statement on Saturday by its Publicity Secretary, Kemi Yesufu, the Guild expressed its sympathy in a condolence letter signed by its President Mallam Danlami Nmodu; and the General Secretary, Mr. Sufuyan Ojeifo.
The letter was presented to Ibanga during a condolence visit by a team, led by the Deputy President of GOCOP, Mr. Olumide Iyanda, to her home on Friday.
The letter read in part: ‘On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire membership of the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers, GOCOP, we extend our heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of your husband.
‘We received the sad news with deep sorrow. Please accept our sincere sympathy during this difficult period of grief and loss.
‘We pray that the Almighty God will grant you, your children and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace.
‘Please accept, dear colleague, the assurances of our highest regards’.
