Nigerian actress Annie Macaulay has covered the tattoo of her former husband, singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, replacing the “Idibia” inscription on her left chest with the image of a butterfly.
The change was noticed in photographs shared on the actress’s Instagram page on Tuesday, days after she posted about moving on and dismissed rumours that she had reconciled with the music star.
Addressing the speculation on her Instagram Stories, Annie said videos circulating online suggesting the pair had reunited were old and being shared out of context.
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote.
The rumours emerged after a video showing the former couple sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub resurfaced on social media.
However, Annie’s latest social media posts, coupled with her decision to replace the tattoo, have fuelled further speculation that she has moved on following the end of their marriage.
Annie and 2Baba, who share two daughters, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together.
The singer has since married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
