Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has accused social commentator VeryDarkMan, popularly known as VDM, of attempting to disrupt the business of Igbo phone dealers following his move to China to source iPhone 18 devices for Nigerians.

Carter Efe made the remarks during a livestream on Friday while reacting to VDM’s plan to purchase the newly released iPhone 18 directly from China and sell the devices to Nigerians.

According to Carter Efe, VDM’s decision could anger some Igbo business owners operating in the phone trade.

“First of all, VDM go do wetin them go take gather am. VDM go do wetin go take make Igbo people gather am kill am for China,” he said.

The streamer also questioned VDM’s decision to venture into phone sales, noting that the social commentator was not previously known for dealing in mobile phones.

“VDM no dey sell phone o but enter China, he wan go buy phone dey sell. He wan spoil people business,” Carter Efe said.

He further questioned VDM’s motive for the move, asking, “VDM, I never see that kind person before, you be witch?”

VDM had earlier shared a video from an Apple Store in China following the launch of the iPhone 18.

In the video, he said he intended to help Nigerians purchase the devices directly from China rather than pay what he described as inflated prices charged by some local vendors.
