Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has named a 24-man squad for Nigeria’s international friendly against Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday, 6 October.
Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will captain the team, while Moses Simon, Stanley Nwabali, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Benjamin Fredricks, Raphael Onyedika and Akor Adams are also included in the squad.
Finland-based goalkeeper Samuel James and Switzerland-based defender Victory Akpe are among the players expected to make their first appearance in the Super Eagles camp.
The squad also includes six midfielders and three forwards receiving their first call-ups to the national team.
