Man-Ugwueje tied the knot with Flight Lieutenant Damilola Adekunle in an elaborate ceremony in Abuja on September 19, 2026, according to details contained in their wedding invitation and posts shared by vendors who worked at the event.

The couple’s Holy Matrimony was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, The Masters Place, in Utako, Abuja, while the reception took place at the Nigerian Army Conference Centre in Asokoro.

The wedding ceremony was scheduled for 11am, with the reception beginning at 3pm.

The aircraft crashed on Monday while on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos.

The Nigerian Air Force subsequently confirmed that all 25 people on board, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers, died in the accident and released their names.

Man-Ugwueje was listed among the five crew members who died in the crash.

The accident has left the officer’s family, colleagues and loved ones mourning the loss of a pilot who had only recently begun married life.
