Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have made their first joint public appearance in Britain since returning to the United Kingdom with their family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Nottingham on Thursday, October 15, 2026, where they were welcomed by a crowd of about 100 well-wishers at the Community Recording Studio (CRS).

The couple arrived at approximately 10.35am and spent about 15 minutes greeting members of the public before entering the facility.

During the visit, Meghan told one well-wisher that “it’s great to be back”.

Nottingham holds special significance for the couple as it was the location of their first joint public appearance after announcing their engagement in 2017. One fan reminded them of the occasion by showing them a photograph from that period.

“That’s so special,” Meghan replied after seeing the photograph.

The couple shook hands with supporters, stopped to speak with young schoolchildren and received bouquets of flowers and a helium-filled balloon.

Their first stop was the Community Recording Studio, a charity established in 1991 to provide young people with access to music and recording facilities. The organisation has since expanded its activities to include creative programmes, sports, mentoring and youth development.

During the visit, Prince Harry met musician, poet and youth mentor Jah Digga, who attended the centre as a child and has spoken about how its support helped him move away from gang involvement.

Meanwhile, Meghan joined a group of young girls for a confidence-building workshop that included bracelet-making activities.

The visit marked the couple’s first joint public engagement in Britain since their reported return to the country with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Their appearance in Nottingham also renewed attention on their relationship with the United Kingdom, where they stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 before relocating to the United States.

The couple’s visit to the recording studio highlighted their continued engagement with organisations supporting young people through creative activities, mentoring and community-based programmes.
