Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji has appointed the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, on Day 1 of his being sworn in for his second term in office.
Oyebanji, who took the office again on Friday, also appointed Mr. Oyeniyi Adebayo as his Chief of Staff and Mr. Olayinka Oyebode as his Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
In dissolving the state Executive Council last Monday, the governor has retained Adubiaro, Adebayo and Oyebode on their respective position.
Oyebode had then issued a statement that the dissolution was part of the administrative process of winding down the first-term administration.
He however explained that the action did not affect Adubiaro, Adebayo and Oyebode.
The governor expressed appreciation to members of the cabinet for their meritorious service and contributions to the development of the state, noting that the government and people of the state owed them a debt of gratitude for their commitment and selfless service.
He particularly expressed appreciation to God for graciously preserving the lives of all the cabinet members, adding that he did not take that grace for granted.
The Commissioners and Special Advisers took turns to thank Oyebanji for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
The cabinet members commended the governor’s leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to the development of the state, pledging to continue contributing to its progress in other capacities.
