Arsenal are considering alternatives for their next three potential signings – West Ham’s Declan Rice, Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, the Sun reports.

The Gunners have made the decision to look past Rice and Caicedo to focus on other signings.

Arsenal are reconsidering spending massive amounts of money on the trio and are looking to strengthen the squad elsewhere.

The North London club have had a tough run of results, with no wins in their last four English Premier League (EPL) encounters.

This bad run of form has seen them lose their advantage in the EPL title race this season, with Manchester City just two points behind them with two games in hand.

Arsenal feel that an injury to defender William Saliba and the subsequent poor defensive play of defender Rob Holding has been key behind their recent downfall.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is thus interested in improving the quality of backups for central defence, with Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi reportedly on his list.

Arsenal feel they would need to splurge over £150 million to bring in Rice and Caicedo to Emirates thus are looking at cheaper alternatives.

Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans is a name that has long been linked to Arsenal and Chelsea’s Mason Mount is also believed to be a player of interest, according to the report.
