Adeleke appoints 29 permanent secretaries

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the elevation of 29 civil servants in the state to the post of permanent secretaries.

The list of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries was contained in a statement by the Head of Service, Mr Leye Aina on Monday evening.

The statement read: “The Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has graciously approved the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service. The appointment, which takes immediate effect, puts an end to the infamous era of Coordinating Directors serving as Accounting Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the State Government.

“The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are: Kolawole N. Akintola, Adesina T. Okandeji, Adebayo S. Raji, Akeem A. Bello, Yetunde A. Esan (Mrs.), Kehinde J. Odediran (Mrs.), Bashir I. Bello (Engr.), Isiaka A. Adekunle (Dr.), Murtala A.K. Jimoh, Mobolaji F. Olaoye (Dr.), Modupe O. Irelewuyi (Mrs.), Ayodele O. Babalola, Olufemi Ogundun, Moruf A. Olawale, Gbemisola Fayoyin (Mrs.), Abayomi Oni (Dr.), Olawuni T. Oladele, Sunday O. Fadele, Oladapo O. Fasina, Olusoji S. Wojuade, Abimbola B. Babatunde (Mrs), Rufus A. Oyegbami, Mudasiru O. Oyedeji, Taiwo O. Oladunjoye (Mrs), Olusola S. Ajao (Engr.), Bukola O. Jolayemi (Mrs), Fatai T. Adekilekun, Ibrahim Akibu and Adeoye R. Popoola.

“The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries holds tomorrow, Tuesday, 30th May 2023, at the Local Government Service Commission, Abere, at 4.00 pm.

“The Governor has equally approved the confirmation of the appointment of Surveyor Soladoye Abioye as substantive Surveyor General and Mr Ijiyemi Ijidele as substantive Statistician-General with immediate effect.

“In the same vein, the Governor has graciously approved that the rights and privileges of a Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service be accorded the Director General of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation now and henceforth. This is with a view to repositioning the Corporation towards efficient service delivery”.
