The management of Penpushing Media, publishers of Penpushing Online newspaper and television, presented a brand new LED TV to the Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Tuesday.

The Founder of the globally read and watched online newspapers and television, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji made the presentation at the Iwe-Iroyin Press Centre, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta, the state, on behalf of the management and editorial board

He explained that the donation was Penpushing Media’s token support for the NUJ, adding that the success of media outfit cannot be detached from the union.

“I love journalism, and I have always being saying this, that whatever little success I have in journalism, I cannot detach NUJ from it. Journalism is in my blood and if I have opportunity to come again into this world, I will choose to be a journalist. If there is an opportunity in heaven to practice journalism, I will continue as a journalist”. Kayode-Adedeji said.

‘This is a token on behalf of the Editorial Board and Management of Penpushing Media Worldwide, and we promise that we will still do better at the appropriate time. Once again, on behalf of the board, I am presenting this token as a support for the union”, he said.

The Chairman of the Council, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju commended the gesture saying that it would serve as a pointer to others who would want to assist the council.

He added that the gesture is the first of its kind from its member and leader in the union, saying that members should also cultivate the habit to give back to the union as they should not leave everything to outsiders alone.

“This gesture is one of a kind. A rare feat from within our fold. No one would have ever believe that one of us would remember us, especially when the union is known to always going out for assistance”, Olanrewaju said.
