President Bola Tinubu on Saturday departed France for London, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communications and Strategy, Mr. Dele Alake.
President Tinubu had concluded his official trip to Paris, France on Friday, during which he had an outstanding participation in the summit for ‘A New Global Financing Pact’, hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.
The summit afforded the President the opportunity of projecting, on a global stage, his advocacy for widening the fiscal space, economic justice for Africa as the world accelerates the pace of energy transition, and the urgency of addressing the pressing issues of poverty and climate change.
The Nigerian leader, who was initially scheduled to be back in Abuja on Saturday, will now proceed to London, United Kingdom for a short private visit.
President Tinubu will be back to Nigeria in time for the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Last week, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, who is the President-General Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, declared Wednesday, 28th June 2023, as the day of Eid-il Adha 1444 AH.
