Manchester United defender, Raphael Varane is set for an extended spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury against Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the English Premier League.
According to Sky Sports, the Frenchman could miss up to six weeks of action.
Varane was replaced at half-time as United won 3-2 at Old Trafford last weekend.
Red Devils boss, Erik ten Hag, speaking after the game claimed the decision to substitute Varane was a precautionary one, but it appears the injury may be worse than first thought.
It has also affected any possible departure for former captain, Harry Maguire, who has been linked with West Ham.
Varane will miss this Sunday’s clash at Arsenal and still be unavailable after the international break.
