The immediate past General Secretary of the Out-of-Home Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Mr. Sola Akinsiku has emerged its President.
All unopposed, Akinsiku and other members of the executive council were endorsed at the recent 38th Annual General Meeting of the association in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Also elected are former ex-officio member, Mr. Omo Kingsley Abunene, who is now the Vice-President; Mr. Churchill Nwagwu (General Secretary); Mrs. Adeola Odesanya (Assistant General Secretary); Mr. Babs Fagade (Publicity Secretary); and Mr. Chinweuba Nwagu (Treasurer).
Akinsiku replaces Emmanuel Ajufo, who has led the outdoor group for four years.
The council will run the association in another transitional journey in the next two years.
Akinsiku was the 55th president of Rotary Club of Ikeja (District 9110) for the 2022/2023 Rotary year. He is a fellow of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
Abunene, the Vice President, is the Managing Director of Beam Media Limited, a seasoned Out-of-Home advertising practitioner and a committed team player.
He is also the Chairman of OAAN Education and Research Committee and was the association’s representative at the Advertising Industry Standard of Practice committee.
The new VP is a member of ARCON and has served in various capacities.
