BrandXchange, organisers  of the Consumers Value Awards (CVA), a prestigious platform that recognises and celebrates value brands across various sectors, is delighted to announce the launch of its official website for the nomination of brands for the third edition of the awards.

The website, www.consumersvalueawards.com is open from 1st February till 10th March 2024.

Over the past two editions, more than 50 outstanding brands have been honoured with Badge of Honours, representing excellence in their respective industries.

According to the organisers, CVA aims to empower consumers by giving them a voice in recognizing brands that go above and beyond to meet their expectations.

The theme for this year’s edition is ‘Empowering Consumers’, reflecting BrandXchange’s commitment to champion consumer rights and foster a culture of excellence in product development.

In a groundbreaking move, BrandXchange bestowed the title of ‘Consumer Rights Advocate Governor of the Year 2023’ on Mr. Babajide Sanwo Olu of Lagos State during the previous edition. This recognition highlights the governor’s exceptional efforts in promoting and protecting consumer rights within the state.

Sanwo Olu commended BrandXchange for putting together an event of such significance. He said the initiative is geared towards protecting the interests of consumers through advocacy and raising awareness on consumer rights.

Akonte Ekine, Founder of BrandXchange/ CVA Convener, Mr. Akonte Ekine shared insights into the inspiration behind this year’s theme.

He explained: “Attending the 2023 edition of the Consumer International Congress in Nairobi was a transformative experience. It became clear that consumers need avenues for expression and opportunities to contribute to product development, especially in addressing issues like healthy feeding. Thisrealisation fueled our commitment to empowering consumers through the Consumers Value Awards”.

Consumers are expected to exercise their rights by nominating brands that have kept promises based on claims made.
It is a national campaign towards ensuring that the consumer is appropriately recognised in the marketplace place, Ekine further said.
