AGN bans actors from working with Adanma Luke over Junior Pope’s death
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has banned its members from working with movie producer and actress Adanma Luke over the death of Junior Pope after a boat accident on Wednesday. Three crew members in the boat ride also went missing.
The guild also suspended indefinitely “all films involving riverine areas and boating riding”, while it placed a ban on shooting in all locations nationwide today.
Junior Pope was confirmed dead on Wednesday night after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor, alongside other crew members, drowned in the River Niger area during a movie production.
In a statement on Thursday, AGN announced that Luke, who is the producer of the movie titled, Another Side of Life has been suspended from filming till further notice and no actor is allowed to work with her as a producer.
The guild also stated that “all films involving riverine areas and boating riding is hereby suspended indefinitely”.
Junior Pope got married to Jennifer Awele in 2014. They had three children.
