3rd Mainland bridge: NEMA recovers accident victim’s body

Marine Police have recovered the body of a male drowned passenger of the ill-fated bus that crashed on the Third Mainland bridge two days ago.

According to the South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, the body was recovered within the vicinity of the incident scene.

“The recovery was done by the Marine Police”, he said.

The two passengers, an adult male and female were flung into the Lagoon when an 18-seater bus with registration number FKJ 872 YA, on a very high speed swerved off the road and hit the Third Mainland Bridge rails last Wednesday.

The accident occurred by Adeniyi Adele’s axis inward of Lagos Island.

The crashed vehicle was immediately towed to Adeniji Adele Police Station.
