Organised labour on Wednesday pulled out of the ongoing minimum wage negotiations with the Federal Government.
The development came after the Federal Government and the Organised Private Sector (OPS) made an offer of N48,000 and N54,000 wage respectively.
NLC and TUC described the offer as “ridiculous”.
It was gathered that while the Federal Government did not provide any data to back up its proposal unlike organised labour, the OPS said none of its members pays less than N78,000.
NLC spokesman, Comrade Benson Upah confirmed the exit to newsmen via telephone call.
He said: “Yes we are out. We are about to address the press and you will get the details then”.
