Rain wreaks havoc in Ibadan, damages poles, others

Some public properties, such as electric poles, wires and cables have been destroyed in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

It was gathered that the properties were damaged as a result of the heavy rain that was witnessed in some parts of the ancient city on Thursday.

Some of the affected areas included Jericho and Akala Expressway.

It was learnt that some electric poles, wires and cables were affected during the rain at Jericho area.

At Akala Expressway, a big billboard was destroyed.

It was earlier reported that passengers and commuters plying the University of Ibadan-Ojoo Road were stranded when a big billboard at Ajibode junction collapsed.
