Katsina State has eased the 24-hour curfew imposed on Dutsinma Local Government Area, reducing it to 7pm to 7am, as obtained in other parts of the state.
Acting Governor Faruk Lawal Jobe approved the relaxation following a report of improved security conditions in the Dutsinma Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued from the office of the Secretary to the state government, the decision was made during a State Security Council meeting held on Monday.

As contained in the statement, several arrests have been made in connection with the recent violence, looting, and vandalism in the state. The offenders were charged with criminal conspiracy, public disturbance, vandalism, and theft, the statement noted.
