The final burial rites for the Odiologbo of Erovie community in Ozoro Kingdom, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Prince Idama Alfred Areh will come up on Friday 4th November.
According to a statement by Hon. Nicholas Areh on behalf of the Azaka Royal Family of Ukolobi, Erovie Community and Akporero Family of lyeriri, Urude Community of Ozoro Kingdom, the Odiologbo’s body will be interred at his family compound along Abrenu Street, Erovie community.
Pa Areh, who died at 98, is survived by a wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, in-laws, relations and friends.
One of his children is veteran journalist, Sir Sunny Areh, who served as Chief Press Secretary to former Delta State Governor, Chief James Ibori. He was also Senior Special Assistant on Media/Resource Centre to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.
A service of songs for the late patriarch of the Areh family will be held on Thursday, 3rd November at 92a, General Hospital Road, Oruamudhu Community, Ozoro.
Also, a traditional wake keep will take place on the same day at Idama Villa, at Abrenu Street, Azaka Avenue.
On Friday, 4th November 2022, funeral service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Agbaza Road, Off Hospital Road Ozoro, while interment will follow immediately at his Villa, No. 1 Abrenu Street, Erovie Community.
The statement added that reception and entertainment of guests will follow immediately after the committal at Ekwerigbe Primary School Ground, NDC Road, Ozoro.
The burial ceremonies will be concluded with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, 6th November at Christ Anglican Church, Agbaza Road, Off Hospital Road, Ozoro.
