The Senator representing Oyo Central district, Teslim Folarin has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will poll 95 percent of the votes in Oyo State in the election scheduled for 25th February next year.
The APC, which fielded incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, polled 365,229 votes in the last presidential election in 2019, which amounted to 43.66 percent. Oyo State is governed by the Peoples Democratic Party but Governor Seyi Makinde is at loggerheads with the party over the refusal of the National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu to stepp down as demanded by the group to which the former belongs.
In a statement by the Director of Public of Public Affairs of the APC presidential and governorship campaign council in the state, Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan, Folarin said that the 95 percent votes projected for Tinubu by the APC campaign council is realisable in the state.
The Senator said that he had enlisted over 100,000 members to mobilise support for Tinubu and other candidates of the party across polling units in the state.
Folarin also said the party in the state is leaving no stone unturned in its determination to secure a win for Tinubu.
