Abia Police Commissioner visits military checkpoint attacked by unknown gunmen

The Commissioner of Police of Abia State, Danladi Isa has paid a visit to a military checkpoint at Umopara, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

The checkpoint was on Wednesday, attacked by unknown gunman who reportedly killed two Army officers who were on duty at the checkpoint.

The CP who arrived at the checkpoint at 10:30hrs alongside his entourage, conducted an operational patrol at the checkpoint.

He used the visit to interact with Lt. Imran Adamu Musa and his team, who are on ground.

In collaboration with Lt. Musa, the patrol extended to Onuimo in the Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state which shares a boundary with Abia state.

During the operational patrol, Isa made critical security observations and provided advisory recommendations to enhance the safety and security of the area.
