Abiodun tasks Nigerian Youth Organisation members to portray Ogun positively

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has recognised the relevance of the Nigerian Youth Organisation (NYO), having identified with the members of the state chapter at the grandfinale of the 50th anniversary of creation of the state.

Members of the organisation in their hundreds joined the governor to be part of the epoch and colourful event, which included cultural and tourism display of the state heritage.

The ceremony, which attracted thousands of residents of the state across all the 20 Local Government Areas, was held at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Abiodun joined the NYO members in a group photograph on the sideline of the event to further cement cordial relationship with them, urging the group to always be good and responsible ambassadors of the state anywhere they find themselves.

The state Chairman of NYO, Comrade Saka Olanrewaju reaffirmed the organisation’s dedication to youth building and support for government policies and programmes aimed at sustainable development.

‘We pledge to continue contributing our quota to the Dapo Abiodun-led administration, in view of his commitment towards the growth and development of the state’, Olanrewaju said.

He highlighted some of the organisation’s feats and past contributions to youth and state development, including youth building initiatives, educational support programmes, environmental sanitation exercises in collaboration with the state government, and a security summit,among others.
