Prof. Adamu Ahmed is the new Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Ahmed, who teaches at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the institution, was picked by the institution’s Governing Council.
A one time Director of the institution’s Directorate of University Advancement, Ahmed is the current Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kano.
According to a statement by the university’s Public Affairs Directorate, the appointment was announced at 6:15 am today (Wednesday, 5 February, 2025) during the 209th (Special) Council meeting presided over by its Chairman, Mahmud Yayale Ahmed.
