Adeoya to deliver keynote address at Iconic Brands Awards ceremony

Foremost marketing communications writer and former campaign editor at THISDAY Newspapers, Mr. Akin Adeoya, is to deliver the keynote address at the maiden edition of the Iconic Brands Awards and Legends of Marketing Communication Awards. He would speak on the topic, ‘Marketing Communications Practice in the Last 40 years: Between Technological Innovation and Human Creativity’.

In a statement from the organisers of the event, Q Media & Communications Limited, publishers of Marketing and Communication A-List, a compendium of marketing communications professionals who are operating in the industry as well as well as profile of agencies, PR firms, marketing companies and other players in the integrated marketing communications ecosystem, the Iconic Brands Awards are to honour enduring brands and professionals.

“Apart from the awards, we want to create an evening for scholarly and intellectual engagement. That was why we picked that theme and we believe no one could do justice to it than Akin Adeoya who has been around the marketing communication space for the greater part of the past 30 years”, the CEO of Q-Media Communications, Samuel Ajayi said.

The Awards would also come with the official launch of the maiden edition of the Marketing and Communication A-List.

Samuel Ajayi added that it is “time we recognised and honoured the brands that have been up there and doing well in the market for over 10 years and also felicitate with the professionals behind the successes of these brands and their various organisations”.

“There is also lifetime achievement Awards for three practitioners that have been in the industry for at least thirty five years.
