The African Leadership Review, which organises the Excellence in Corporate Enterprise and Leadership Awards, has honoured the Managing Director of Background Check International (BCI), Mr. Kola Olugbodi as the Professional Services Personality of the year.
The Chairman of the Awards Committee, Prof. Joseph Mba said the award is an initiative of the African Leadership Review to celebrate selected African personalities with outstanding contribution to the development of the continent through leadership experience, innovation and competence in different fields of endeavour.
In his response, Olugbodi said that the award is a welcome development as it signals the need to do more. He said that, when recognition comes, one should accept it as a challenge to do more and contribute meaningfully to societal growth and development.
He said that the award reaffirms his commitment to excellence and dynamism which he has brought to bear in piloting BCI’s affairs for almost two decades
Olugbodi is also the Chairman of Society of Professional Background Screeners of Nigeria.
He is also a fellow of the Institute of Information Management, Africa, and the first African member of the Professional Background Screeners Association, United States of America.
A recipient of several awards, he is also the author of a fast selling book, Through it All, a motivational and Inspirational book on coping with life’s challenges.
