African-built media intelligence platform AGENTPR has launched managed AI-agent access to its intelligence environment, allowing communications professionals to interact with authorised media intelligence through compatible AI assistants.

The new capability enables AI assistants, including ChatGPT and Claude, to securely access permitted AGENTPR intelligence such as media coverage, intelligence reports and emerging signals captured through its SignalWatch™ system.

According to the company, the service is read-only, consent-based and permission-aware, with AI assistants inheriting the organisation and brand access rights of the signed-in user.

Founder of AGENTPR, Celestine Achi, said the development was about more than creating another interface for media monitoring, arguing that the bigger challenge was enabling machines to understand the meaning behind communications.

“Communications teams are not short of information. The harder problem is meaning,” Achi said.

She explained that AGENTPR’s ongoing Meaning Intelligence™ research was examining how machines could better identify cultural nuances, sarcasm, irony, coded language and stakeholder context in communications.

The company said the research was being developed alongside its work in strategic communications environments, including its role as the Official Media Intelligence Partner for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.

Through its SignalWatch™ system, AGENTPR tracks emerging communications signals using a process covering detection, verification, meaning, action and outcome.

Achi said the AI-agent integration was designed to give communications professionals easier access to evidence while preserving human judgement in decision-making.

She also highlighted Africa’s cultural and linguistic diversity as an important factor in shaping the future of communications intelligence.

“Africa should not simply arrive in the agentic era as a consumer of intelligence technologies designed elsewhere,” Achi said, arguing that the continent could contribute to the development of context-aware and culturally intelligent communications AI.

AGENTPR said its managed AI-agent capability was already live, while its Meaning Intelligence™ research programme remained ongoing.

The company describes AGENTPR™ as an African-built, AI-powered public relations and media intelligence platform designed to help communications professionals move from media signals to meaning, risk and action.
