ANOH Gas delivers 1st gas to NLNG, commences full commercial operations

ANOH Gas Processing Company Limited (AGPC) has recorded a milestone with the delivery of the first gas to Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) through the NGIC 23.3km spur line and the Oando pipeline network. marking the company’s transition from project execution into full commercial operations.

In a statement in Lagos on Monday, AGPC’s Manager External Affairs and Communications, Mr. Olufemi Olokode said that the development represents a major advancement in Nigeria’s midstream gas infrastructure and gas development journey.

The statement read: ‘The delivery of gas from the ANOH Gas Processing Plant demonstrates AGPC’s technical readiness and operational capability to safely and reliably supply processed natural gas to both domestic and export markets. The world-class facility, with a nameplate processing capacity of 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, is located in Assa, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State and was developed to international standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

‘This achievement aligns with the Federal Government’s Decade of Gas Initiative and reinforces gas as a critical enabler of Nigeria’s energy security, economic growth, and transition to cleaner energy. The ANOH project has also delivered tangible socio-economic benefits to Imo State and its host and impacted communities through local content development, job creation, and sustained community engagement’.

An incorporated joint venture between NNPC Limited and Seplat Energy Plc, AGPC said it remains committed to safe operations, regulatory compliance, and the delivery of sustainable value to its shareholders while supporting Nigeria’s long-term energy aspirations.
