The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC), Hon. Ali Dalori has poured encomium on the party’s candidate in the 16 November governorship election in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the huge development projects in his 10-month reign as the state governor.

Aiyedatiwa succeeded Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, who died in a German hospital last December after a protracted illness.

Dalori was in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Monday along with the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for the launching of the state governorship Campaign Council.

According to a statement by Dalori’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Hon. Yemi Akinbode, the APC chieftain heaped praises on Aiyedatiwa for improving the lot Ondo people in the short period of his stewardship.

He  said: “Since we landed at the Akure airport, the aura we saw, the feelings and the mood of the people reflects a true sense of joy, happiness and warmth. Thus, a cursory look at the city of Akure will tell you what to expect from the people. We have seen the transformation, the new projects, the new realms and joy the governor has brought to the people of Ondo State. This is what the APC preaches. This is what our party stands for. We are glad that Aiyedatiwa is a good ambassador of the APC”.

The inauguration of the 350-man national campaign council by the NWC is an indication of the party’s determination to ensure that Aiyedatiwa wins the election. The atmosphere at the Dome, the venue of the event, reflects the mood and preparation by the APC to ensure that no stone is left unturned.

The event paraded party stalwarts and key influencers. They included the party’s National Chairman, National Assembly leaders, former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Solomon Lanlong, and former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
