The programme was organised by Alhaji Labaran Lumo Dundaye, Managing Director of the Sokoto State Media Corporation.
Dingyadi said the party was optimistic about its chances of winning the presidential, governorship, National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections in the state.
“We have no doubt that we will win elections,” he said, expressing confidence that the APC would obtain at least 80 per cent of the votes in Sokoto.
He also predicted a strong performance for the party across the North-West, claiming that the region had more than 20 million votes and that the APC was targeting at least 15 million.
According to him, the party had established committees at ward, local government and zonal levels as part of efforts to strengthen its preparations for the 2027 polls.
Dingyadi further announced that the APC’s presidential campaign would be launched in Kaduna on 24 October.
Commending the programme’s organiser, he praised Dundaye for providing financial assistance to 300 APC supporters from Ilela, Gumburawa and Gidan Bubu districts.
He described the initiative as an example of leadership and urged politicians and public office holders to introduce empowerment schemes and other interventions to improve the welfare of their constituents.
In his remarks, Dundaye said the financial assistance was intended to complement the efforts of Sokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu to improve residents’ welfare and ease economic hardship.
He urged residents to support Tinubu, Aliyu, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Dundaye commended the president and governor for what he described as their achievements, adding that the forthcoming elections would provide an opportunity for voters to demonstrate their appreciation for the administrations.
Similarly, the Chairman of Wamakko Local Government Council, Umar Ahmad Dundaye, praised the empowerment initiative and called on residents to maintain unity and support the APC.
Other party officials and representatives of the Sokoto State Media Corporation also commended the programme, urging beneficiaries to use the assistance responsibly.
Some beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the organiser and pledged their continued support for the party.
