The Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has created a new Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management and announced changes to the leadership of its youth and women mobilisation directorates ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The changes were announced in a statement on Tuesday by the council’s secretary, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma. According to the statement, the decision followed the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council and was aimed at strengthening its organisational structure, improving coordination and enhancing operational efficiency.

Under the new arrangement, former House of Representatives Minority Leader Farouk Adamu Aliyu has been appointed Director of Stage Organisation and Management, while former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adejare Bello, will serve as Co-Director.

For the Directorate of Youth Mobilisation, Minister of Youth Development Ayo Olawande has been named Director, with APC National Youth Leader Dayo Israel appointed Deputy Director.

Meanwhile, APC National Women Leader Mary Aille Idele will head the Directorate of Women Mobilisation. Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Betta Edu has been appointed Deputy Director, while Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Imaan Suleman will serve as Secretary.

Uzodimma said the changes reflected the council’s commitment to building a coordinated, inclusive and results-driven campaign structure capable of mobilising Nigerians, particularly young people and women, in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He urged the appointees to bring their experience, commitment and organisational skills to their respective roles as preparations for the 2027 election intensify.

The statement added that all appointees were expected to work closely with other directorates and relevant campaign structures to advance the council’s objectives and ensure the effective implementation of its mobilisation and campaign strategies.

The appointments come after the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 general election.
