The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Idris Nasiru has won the Kebbi State governorship election.
According to the Returning Officer, Prof. Yusuf Sa’idu, who made the declaration in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, on Sunday afternoon after the Saturday’s supplementary elections in some polling units of the state, Nasiru polled 409,225 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Major General Aminu Bande (rtd.) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 360,940 votes.
