Ahead of his side’s English Premier League match against Sunderland on Saturday, Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said that winger Bukayo Saka will miss the fixture because of a hip injury.
Going into Week 25 of a 38-week league, the Gunners could create a nine-point lead at the top of the log before second placed Manchester City host Liverpool on Sunday.
Saka had matches against Leeds and Chelsea due to the problem.
‘His hip is improving a lot. Hopefully, he’ll be ready soon’, Arteta said.
Arteta also gave updates on captain Martin Odegaard and defender Jurrien Timber.
‘Martin is getting better and will be back in a few days, and Jurrien is fit for the weekend’, he said.
Sunderland will also be without former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka who is nursing an ankle injury.
In the first leg last 8 November, Brian Brobbey denied Arsenal victory with an added time equaliser to end the game 2-2.
