Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, has given updates about his team’s injuries ahead of their Premier League match against Sunderland this weekend.

The Gunners could create a nine-point lead at the top of the log before Manchester City play against Liverpool.

Arteta will be without Bukayo Saka for the game against Sunderland because of a hip injury.

Saka missed matches against Leeds and Chelsea due to the problem.

‘His hip is improving a lot. Hopefully, he’ll be ready soon’, Arteta said.

Arteta also gave updates on captain Martin Odegaard and defender Jurrien Timber.

‘Martin is getting better and will be back in a few days, and Jurrien is fit for the weekend’, he said.
