Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Chelsea.
The Gunners will welcome their London rivals looking to maintain their perfect start to the campaign and extend their winning run.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Arteta confirmed that Bruno Guimaraes sustained a knock during Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.
However, the midfielder is expected to recover in time to train with the squad and remains in contention to face Chelsea.
“He had a knock against Villa. He is being assessed but tomorrow probably he will be OK for training,” Arteta said.
The Arsenal boss also provided an update on Cristhian Mosquera, who was substituted during the win over Villa.
Arteta indicated that the decision to withdraw the defender was largely precautionary rather than the result of a serious injury concern.
He also confirmed that Ezri Konsa is available to start against Chelsea.
“Konsa is available to start,” Arteta said.
On Jurrien Timber, Arteta remained cautious, saying a decision on the defender’s availability would be made after the team’s final training session before the match.
“We will decide tomorrow after training,” he added.
Arsenal will hope to have as many key players as possible available as they prepare for a potentially demanding London derby at the weekend.
