Awujale, Akarigbo hold joint stakeholders’ meeting on creation of Ijebu State

As the age-long clamour for Ijebu State intensifies, the two paramount rulers in Ogun East Senatorial District, Awujale of Ijebuland, Kabiyesi Alayeluwa Oba S. K. Adetona GCON and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Kabiyesi Alayeluwa Oba Babatunde Ajayi will, on Thursday, hold a joint stakeholders’ meeting at the Aafin Awujale in Ijebu Ode.

According to a statement issued on behalf of Aafin Awujale and signed by the Onigegewura Akile Ijebu, Tunde Oladunjoye, the stakeholders’ forum on the proposed Ijebu State will be attended by accredited representatives of the people of Old Ijebu Province, presently known as Ogun East Senatorial District in the present Ogun State.

Participants, expected to be seated by 10.00am, will include traditional rulers, members of National and State Assemblies from Ogun East, Local Government Council Chairmen from Ogun East, opinion leaders, businessmen and women, market leaders and members of religious and community based organisations.
