The Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lukmon Agbaje, has launched the Renewed Hope Agenda Cash Fund Empowerment Programme, disbursing N100,000 each to 100 beneficiaries across the community.

Agbaje said the initiative reflects the council’s commitment to uplifting residents, especially small business owners, artisans, traders, farmers, and young entrepreneurs who require financial support to scale their enterprises.

According to him, the gesture goes beyond financial assistance.

‘Today’s event is not just about giving N100,000 to 100 beneficiaries; it is about restoring confidence, rewarding hard work, and building the foundation for sustainable growth in our local government’, the chairman stated.

He noted that the fund was established to help individuals with viable ideas turn their dreams into tangible success stories, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

Agbaje assured residents that the empowerment programme would be sustained and expanded as part of a broader vision to eradicate poverty and build a self-reliant community.

‘This is not a one-time event. It is part of a long-term plan to lift our people out of poverty and create a thriving community where every citizen can live with dignity and hope’, he added.

Charging the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously, the chairman emphasized that the initiative carries a responsibility of accountability and impact.

‘Use this fund wisely. Let it be the seed that grows into something meaningful. Do not see it as free money, but as an investment in your future’, he admonished.

He further assured that the council would continue to monitor beneficiaries’ progress to ensure that the core purpose of the scheme—empowerment and sustainability—is achieved.

Agbaje also commended community leaders, traditional rulers, market associations, and youth groups for their collaboration and support in making the initiative a success.

‘The Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan, it is a movement. It is the government’s way of saying: We see you. We believe in you. And we are ready to walk with you toward a brighter future’, he said.

Agbaje congratulated the beneficiaries, describing them as ‘pioneers of a transformative empowerment drive’ and urged them to make the council proud by using the funds productively.
