Bendel Insurance and RS Berkane played out a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second-round clash in Benin City on Saturday.
The hosts dominated the game from the start and got their reward in the 28th minute when Imade Osarenkhoe slotted home after RS Berkane’s goalkeeper spilled Benjamin Tanimu’s shot.
Hamza El Moussaoui equalised for the visitors 10 minutes later.
The scoreline remained the same for the remainder of the first half.
Bendel Insurance regained the lead through Vincent Augustus five minutes after the hour mark.
The visitors equalised for the second time in the game seven minutes from time, with Mohamed El Morabit finishing a brilliant counter-attacking move.
The reverse fixture will take place at the Berkane Municipal Stadium in Morocco in a fortnight.
