The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to unveil the host nation for the 2026 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

The 2024 edition of CHAN, originally scheduled for this year, will now take place in August 2025, with Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda serving as co-hosts.

CAF’s Executive Committee is expected to meet this weekend in Rabat, Morocco, where several key announcements will be made.

In addition to confirming the 2026 CHAN host, the football governing body will also reveal the host city for the 2025 CAF Awards.

The prestigious awards ceremony was hosted in Marrakesh, Morocco for the past two editions, with Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman among the standout winners.

CAF is also expected to announce a new chairman for its Inter-club Competitions Committee during the meeting.
