Chelsea interim boss Frank Lampard has said the team can overtake Arsenal on the English Premier League (EPL) table if they make the right decisions.
Lampard was speaking to the media on Monday ahead of their trip to the Emirates tomorrow.
The Blues currently sit in 12th place on the EPL table in what has been a miserable campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Although co-owner Todd Boehly has splashed over $600m on new players this season, Lampard has made it clear there is no overnight success in football.
When asked if he believes Chelsea already has a squad that can grow into title challengers like Arsenal, Lampard said: “If we talk about it as just having this season come overnight, I think you have to go back to the beginning and all those tougher periods.
“I think, do we have the possibility to do that? Yes. Will it take a lot of time and good decisions along the way? Absolutely, yes – but you can get there”.
