Entertainment Bus-Stop Limited will hold the 8th edition of its community engagement Corporate Social Responsibility initiative on Saturday, 27th May – International Children’s Day. This year’s edition of the International Day of Families (marked every 15th May), which will take place at Lagos Anglican Girls’ Grammar School Hall, Surulere, Lagos from Noon to 2 pm.
According to the Convener, Mrs. Eki Faith Eboigbe, the theme of the International Day of Families (also known as the ‘Family Meeting’) is “Youth Building Peace”. “The programme will engage young people in interrogative discussions towards inclusion and sustainability, as it is essential for every society to create a supportive structure and environment where families’ members realise their full potential, thus creating a progressive society.
“The ‘Family Meeting’ will be concluded with interventions on the role of parents on young people in adding values to their communities”, Eboigbe explained.
She said that primary objective of the ‘Family Meeting’ is to ignite discussion amongst students, adding that they are encouraged to present papers on ‘The Prevalence of Drug Abuse’, ‘Cultism’, ‘Get Rich Quick Syndrome’ and ‘Decline of Morality’, with each session focusing on young people. They discussion will on problems and solutions on each theme.
