The Special Adviser to the Governor of Oyo State on Labour Matters, Mr Bayo Titilola-Sodo has enjoined journalists in the state to criticise the present government in the state constructively.
Hosting members of the Oyo State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) to an Iftar meal in his residence in Ibadan on Wednesday, Titilola-Sodo described the union as a versatile one that has been helping to shape the current democracy in the country.
The delegation was led by the NUJ state chairman, Mr Ismail Ademola Babalola.
He, however, enjoined journalists to criticise the people in power constructively.
Titilola-Sodo assured that the second term of Governor Seyi Makinde would be better than the first, acknowledging that no government can satisfy everyone in society.
He said: “NUJ is a versatile union to associate with.
“I want to say thank you and appreciate what you have done.
“No government can satisfy everyone. It is your job to criticise constructively.
“You have been constructive partners in running the affairs of Oyo State. It is my hope that we will do better”.
