Davido rebrands DMW record label, signs 2 artistes

Nigerian musician David Adeleke (better known by his stage name Davido) is getting ready to release his Timeless album, but his fans and supporters are in for an even better surprise.

The 30BG crooner will be unveiling a rebranded version of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), a label that birthed artistes like Peruzzi Vibes, Dremo and Mayorkun, who can all boasts of successful careers in the music industry.

DMW is set to introduce its second constitution, DMW 2.0. This revamped label promises to be bigger, better, and more ferocious than ever before.

The first unveiling of DMW 2.0 is the label’s brand-new identity emblem. Gone is the previous caricature of a young Davido spotting a king’s crown, replaced with a more powerful and daring visual enhancement that reflects the label’s newfound attitude.

DMW added two new artistes to the pack and they go by the name Morravey and Logos Olori. Being a new voice in the line, the two artistes have the rare privilege to feature on Davido’s upcoming album, this is how the DMW boss wants to introduce them to the world.

Morravey is a young Port Harcourt-bred singer-songwriter with a unique flair for blending Afro sounds using her quintessential vocals. And Logos Olori is a sensational Afrobeats vibe machine drawing musical inspiration from his Southwestern roots. These two talented artists are the industry’s latest revelations and are set to take the music scene by storm.

Morravey will join Liya as the second lady of the record label while Morravey will join the other array of men under Davido’s wing.

Meanwhile, the wait for Davido’s Timeless album, set to drop on 31st March, keeps getting better and more interesting. With about 48 hours to go, the singer shared a post on his page with a video officially announcing the tracks on the album.

The body of work, with 17 songs, boasts of appearances from Nigeria’s Asake, Fave, British-Nigerian rapper Skepta, Beninese-French singer and songwriter Angelique Kidjo, and a host of others.

The singer captioned the post with:

“It’s almost time! I bring to you the official tracklist for my upcoming album #TIMELESS, with Spotify. Get ready ⏳ @spotify @spotifyafrica @spotifyuk.”
