Fisayo Dele-Bashiru says he will give his best for the Super Eagles following his maiden invitation to the team.
The midfielder has been included in Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.
It’s the first time the 22-year-old has been called up by the three-time African champions.
Dele-Bashiru has been in fine form for Turkish Super Lig club, Hatyspor this season, with four goals and two assists to his name.
The player expressed excitement on the invitation and stated that he wants to play for the people of Nigeria.
“I am very happy and excited to receive an invitation from the Nigerian National Team. I’ll go there and do my best. I will play for the Nigerian people”, he told Turkish news outlet, Hurriyet.
The Super Eagles will take on Saudi Arabia in Portimao, Portugal, on Friday, 13th October.
The second friendly against Mozambique will also take place in Portimao three days later.
