The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has disclosed the successful arrest of 32 suspects linked to internet fraud in Bauchi.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook handle on Monday, EFCC said that the suspects were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, the Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
According to the statement, the suspects would be charged in court after investigations.
the statement read: “Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, 25 July 2025, arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters.
“They were arrested in Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of Bauchi, Bauchi State capital, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities”.
The statement equally listed recovered items, including “nine Samsung mobile phones, 15 iPhones, one Infinix phone, three Redmi phones, two iPads, one Peugeot 406 car, two PlayStation 4, one PlayStation 5, four Neonx Auto bikes, eight laptop computers, one Maxi E50KWH generator and one pistol”.
