Ekiti police intensify search for missing varsity student

The police in Ekiti State have said search efforts for a missing 500 level of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Helen Eberechukwu Okorie were ongoing.

The Police Public Relations Officer of Ekiti State Command, Deputy Superintendent Sunday Abutu said that the 23-year-old female student, resident at the Irona area of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, had been missing since 13th September, 2023.

In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, on Saturday Abutu said: “This is to inform members of the public that one Helen Eberechukwu Okorie of No.15, Ayoba Quarters, Behind Sadiat Hotel, Irona Area, Ado Ekiti, left home on 13th September, 2023 at about 8am to an unknown destination and never returned.

“She is 23-year-old, chocolate in complexion, speaks English and lbo languages fluently and has no tribal mark. She is a 500 level student of Ekiti State University.

The PPRO added, “While the Command has commenced investigation to unravel her whereabouts, anyone with useful information concerning her present location should kindly contact the nearest Police Station or call 09064050086”.
