Eto’o, Drogba, Balotelli, others to grace charity football match

Football legends Samuel Eto’o, Didier Drogba, Mario Balotelli and a host of others have been billed to feature in the Charity Champions’ Cup organised by Attom Foundation to raise funds for charity initiatives in Nigeria.

The legends will be teaming up with other Nigerian-based soccer stars alongside celebrities at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Saturday 15 June 2024.

Founder of the Attom Foundation, Yahaya Attom, emphasized the importance of giving back to the less privileged and highlighted the foundation’s commitment to providing essential eye care services for the elderly in Nigeria.

Some of the active football players and legends confirmed for the novelty match are Victor Osimhen, Kenneth Omeruo, Asisat Oshoala, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho while the entertainers include Tiwa Savage, Paul and Peter Okoye, Ayo Makun among others.

The Charity Champions Cup has received endorsements from the Federal Ministry of Sports Development, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), and the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, solidifying its status as a noble and impactful event.
