Multi-award winning actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is celebrating a major milestone as her latest film, “Everybody Loves Jenifa”, breaks box office records.
The movie has grossed N783 million in just two weeks, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2024.
It has also achieved the largest single-day gross of all time with N107 million.
Akindele’s film is currently showing in cinemas nationwide and internationally, including in the UK, US, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada.
She has urged her fans to continue supporting the movie, aiming to surpass the success of her previous highest-grossing film, “A Tribe Called Judah”.
Celebrating this feat, she wrote on Instagram: “This is huge!!!!! God did!!! Big thanks to our amazing fans and supporters!! #eljthemovie is still showing nationwide and internationally: It is showing in the UK, US, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and more!
