Ex-Ambassador Isola to chair 7th Penpushing Media anniversary lecture

A former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Senator Sarafa Tunji Isola will be the Chairman at the aeventh anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media, scheduled to hold in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on 31 July 2025.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Chairperson of the lecture, Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi; and Secretary, Mr. Sina Adefolahan said that the former federal lawmaker has confirmed his attendance at the ceremony which is to take place at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.

‘I am proud to be associated with Penpushing team, and as a member I am proud and honoured to chair the event. I am also confirming that I will physically be in attendance to grace the occasion. I am also convinced about journalism role of Penpushing Media, which today has made it a household name globally in the media industry’, Isola was quoted saying in his response to the invitation.

He is renowned with administrative and leadership experience spanning both the public and private sectors, and had served as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, appointed in January 2021 by the then President Muhammadu Buhari.

Isola, who has to his credit the national award of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic, had served as Minister of Mines and Steel Development (2007 – 2008), and Secretary to the Ogun State Government (2003 – 2007).

In 1999, the notable politician was appointed Special Assistant to the Minister of Finance, while he also worked with Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation at early stage of his career.

The diplomat attended Harvard Kennedy School of Government, United States of America, holds a Masters of Business Administration, and is happily married with children doing well in their various fields of professions.
